IN THE NEWS

Since 2008, the Dorothy D. and George Curtis Clark Endowment has supported  visits to the Estuarium from students of Northeast Elementary School (Pinetown, NC), and more recently from Snowden Elementary in Aurora as well. This  endowment, established by the Clark's daughter, Mary Esther Baker, is held through the North Carolina Community Foundation.

Anyone wishing to help build this endowment to ensure its continued ability to underwrite Estuarium field trips for Beaufort County students may contribute through the link provided below.

ARTIST OF THE MONTH

Jackie Weatherly-Cadzow is an artist that loves bright, bold color.

You can tell by looking at her award-winning silk paintings and textile art that she loves beautiful color. She’s been combining color with her love of nature since returning to school at Meredith College for her BA in studio art. It was there that she discovered and fell in love with silk painting as a medium and the way the colors flow on the silk.

Jackie uses her life experiences to present a feeling of hope and optimism for a positive and adventurous future through her unique and colorful art.
